Phoenix Sloane, Actress and Producer

I really enjoyed my role as Nora in the upcoming film Texoma.  My scenes were filmed in Austin, Texas in late September 2016.  It was fun to play an ex-wife who still holds animosity towards her aloof ex-husband. Her main priority is getting him to realize that he needs to help his daughter with the dilemma she is currently in and the severity of the situation.   
 
It was so much fun working with Dr. Jenkins on set.  He is always very helpful and provided great insight on my character.  My brother, Gilbert, was on set as crew and also gave me some great feedback to incorporate into my character.

I was a bit nervous to film because I hadn’t met or interacted with any of the other actors in the film yet, and I believe my scenes were the first to be filmed. My nerves quickly subsided with the help of Dr. Jenkins and my brother.  It was great filming my scenes - I feel like it went smoothly and I wanted to keep filming because we were having so much fun. 
 
I’ve had the pleasure to work with Dr. Jenkins and Charles Stanley on a prior film, Veda.  It was an honor to star as Veda Novak - I loved it!  Playing Veda was challenging and exciting.  Veda’s character was calculating yet flirty, captivating and mysterious all at once.  Veda was the first feature film I participated in and I enjoyed every second of it.  My experience with Dr. Jenkins, Charles Stanley, Christopher Clark and all of the cast was awesome!  I truly felt like it was a collaborative effort between the Directors, Producer, cast and crew.  They were there every step of the way to provide guidance and constructive feedback to myself and the rest of the cast.  Everyone put their best foot forward, by working as many hours in the day as needed in order to get things done. 
 
I am currently producing my first documentary alongside International Director, Alexandra Galindo Moreno.  We started filming in December 2016 and it is an ongoing production.  The documentary focuses on the tragedy of losing my parents, the struggles my brothers and I have endured since then and also the healing modalities we have incorporated.  Our objective is to give others hope and show them that no matter what they are going through, they can obtain harmony, happiness, peace and make their dreams a reality.       
 
I really enjoyed working with Dr. Jenkins and his team and look forward to working with them in the near future!  They are high caliber Directors, Writers and Producers who are so creative, talented, hard working, encouraging yet so down to earth.  It has been an honor to work with them. We have talked about working together in a possible novela, which really excites me because one of my dreams is to be in a bilingual novela.  Thank you, Dr. Jenkins, for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your films, I truly appreciate it.
